Mission

After Jesus was baptized, then tempted by Satan, Matthew records in chapter 4, verse 17: “From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.””

God calls us all to repentance. That word has been mistranslated so many times. It does not mean “to turn.” It means to change the way you think. When we change how we think about things, it naturally leads to a turning in our lives.

If Jesus had one central message, it was the Kingdom of Heaven. Many of His parables included the Kingdom. His instructions to the disciples when He sent them out included the Kingdom.

Through prayer, worship, fellowship, study, encouragement, challenge, experiencing the miraculous, deliverance, etc., we strengthen one another and grow His Kingdom. We believe God when He tells us in scripture to expect the miraculous in our lives.

Vision

The vision of Kingdom Come is the transformation of the world, where the earth replicates the DNA of Heaven. When Jesus sent His disciples out to minister in His name to cities (Luke 10), He gave them authority and told them to proclaim the Kingdom.

Later, after the Resurrection, in Mark 16:15-18, we find Jesus saying to His followers, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

God has not called us to live with sickness or disease. He has not called us to accept demonic torment as a part of life. While we do not physically pick up serpents or drink poisons, followers of Jesus can live without fear or worry because “Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4).

What would it look like to see spirits of torment and addiction break off your loved one’s lives? What would it look like to see your friends, family, and coworkers living with divine health?

God has called us to more…more of His Kingdom…more of His glory…more of His goodness. The world becomes radically different when seek His Kingdom
